It was a joy occation for church women to celebrate the silver jubilee of Women's Ordination in India. The first woman ordained was Rev.Betty Paul, and the second woman ordained was Rev.Nirmala Vasanthakumar. The ordination took place in 1976. The Silver Jubilee celebration was held in 2002 at the United Theological College, Bangalore.
