Tribal beheaded for practising witchcraft

JAMSHEDPUR: The police have recovered the body of a 45-year-old tribal woman
allegedly beheaded for practising witchcraft in Kapali under Chandil police
station of the Saraikela-Kharsawan district.
The police said the torso was recovered from the forest near Dobo on Wednesday
evening. The body has been brought to the MGM Hospital here for post-mortem.
Investigators suspect that the victim identified as Rupu Tudu may have been
killed by villagers for practising black magic. Rupu had been missing since
Sunday when she was assaulted by a group of villagers for practicing witchcraft.
The police have so far arrested three persons in this connection. Search was on
to recover the severed head.
