Women tied him to a tree and took turns beating him

For 19 years, he came home drunk every night, and beat up his wife, demanding
dowry.
Tired of his promises to change his ways, the women of a small village in the
Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh finally tied the offender to a tree on
Monday and took turns beating him.
Village elders had repeatedly warned the man to stop assaulting his wife.
He has now been handed over to the police and a formal case of physical abuse
has been lodged against him.
