Baby sale racket: Police team for Chennai
BANGALORE, July 30, 2003 (DHNS)
A police team was sent to Chennai today to explore the links of the baby selling
racket unearthed in the City on Tuesday. “We have sent a team to Chennai for
investigation and to see whether there were other transactions as well. The team
will also try to trace the parents of the baby which was sold to the decoy on
Tuesday,” City Police Commissioner S Mariswamy told reporters today. Police
busted a racket and arrested five persons, including Dr Sudhir Vinekar, the
proprietor of Ideal Nursing Home on Tuesday. The accused, are being
interrogated, Mr Mariswamy said.
